All-New RAMPBOSS V3 Makes World Debut at Northwood University International Auto Show

Lexus PictureCOMMERCE Township, Mich. — American ingenuity and its entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well and lives in Central and Southeast Michigan, home to RAMPBOSS-USA, an innovative vehicle display system manufactured and being sold around the world.

The latest iteration of this remarkably innovative product, the RAMPBOSS V3, served as part of the central showcase display of the 45th Northwood University International Auto Show, Oct. 10-12, 2008, on the university campus in Midland, Mich.

RAMPBOSS President Todd Stoney said he was elated to know that show organizers desired to utilize their latest and yet most impressive vehicle display to showcase the ultra-luxurious Lexus LX 570: While at the same time celebrating a milestone of selling its 50th display unit in North America.  “This is sort of a third date between Lexus and RAMPBOSS, as we worked together this past spring to elevate their all-new IS-F sports sedan at two private VIP events.,” Stoney said.

Previously, RAMPBOSS played a significant role in exciting prospective Lexus clients by putting the IS-F sports sedan at center stage of the Detroit Opera House, and again outside the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.  Lexus expects even more ‘oohs’ and “ahhs’ as they put another hot product atop the all-new V3 at Northwood University’s International Auto Show for the first time anywhere.

RAMPBOSS-USA manufactures the most versatile, attractive and fully functional “off-the-shelf” automotive display ramp technology in the world.  The patented system was designed to replace a very large number of aging and rustic looking angle-iron display ramps sold to auto retailers over the past 30+ years.  All RAMPBOSS displays are manufactured using high quality US steel and polished aluminum diamond-plate fascias.  All three models (V1, V2, & new V3) provide users the unique ability to manually-position vehicles into countless three-dimensional poses in order to help bolster attention and perceived value of featured vehicles.

The all-new V3, manufactured in the Central Michigan City of Perrinton is much larger than the two previous iterations and will be capable of manually positioning full-size pickups trucks and ultra-luxury vehicles such as Rolls Royce/Bentley and Maybach - up to 13,000 lbs and 158-inch wheelbases.  Exclusive to the RAMPBOSS V3, all will be painted dark gunmetal gray and get custom HD turnbuckles, but will retain the polished diamond plated accents of its smaller siblings for a new eye-catching two-tone look and a few refreshed styling ques.  All newly produced V3’s and V2’s will include a more aggressive tire traction surface, and a lifetime rustproof guarantee – an industry first.

A General Motors Corporation dealership in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada, Nelson GM, purchased the 48th, 49th and 50th Michigan-made vehicle display ramps, including two of the all-new V3’s.

“I realize my young company is very small, but given the current economic conditions in Michigan, I believe our story is an encouraging example for this state and its potential for manufacturing other ground-breaking products,” he said. “We have a world-class display system that has sold to happy clients across the USA, Canada, Eastern Australia, Philippines, and one in the UK.  We are currently looking for creative ways of getting the word out into other international auto markets and do more export business.”

RAMPBOSS-USA has already garnered some worldwide exposure, when General Motors purchased two V1’s for use during Super Bowl XL in Detroit, who did prominently display their (new at the time) Hummer H3 and Saab 9-7, and again during Super Bowl XLI in Miami, when a $100,000 Cadillac XLR-V Series was perched atop a RAMPBOSS at a two day Sports Illustrated VIP party.

RAMPBOSS also served as the system of choice at two NASCAR events last year, and on June 10th  the very first V1 sold in America now sits in the center atrium of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky., featuring a sapphire black Corvette ZR-1 Spyder, which made its debut during the 1991 North American International Auto Show.

RAMPBOSS has enjoyed much praise from their customers over the past four years.  Stoney said, “It’s gratifying to know that, even in a small way, that RAMPBOSS-USA is helping automotive retailers, manufacturers, and even a few casinos, market their prized products more effectively, and at the same time contributing to Michigan’s economy.”
